 In this post, let's talk about some common activities that people do at certain places. Let's answer the question:

"What are you doing at ___________?"

The answer should describe something that is happening at the moment.

In the following examples, the -ing forms of verbs are used in the present continuous tense. Here are some examples:

7-Eleven

  • What are you doing at 7-Eleven?
    I'm looking for some milk.
    I’m eating a ice cream.

Mall

  • What are you doing at the mall?
    I’m buying a badminton racket
    I’m shopping with my friends 

B-Quik

  • What are you doing at the B-Quik?
    I’m setting a car service 
  • charging car equipment 

Dtac center

  • What are you doing at the drac center?
    looking for internet promotion
  • going to center internet

Mcdonald’s Restaurant 

  • What are you doing at the Mcdonald’s Restaurant?
           looking for something to eat.
           orderring a burger and fries.

After reading all the examples, write your own sentences. Think of 5 places that you usually go to then answer the question 'What are you doing at _________?'. Write at least 2 sentences for each place.

Conversation Practice: Copy the conversation and then paste it into your post. Color the -ing verbs in red. Read the conversation aloud to practice your English pronunciation.

A: What are you doing at the park this morning?
B: I’m jogging to prepare for a marathon next week. How about you?
A: I’m taking my dog for a walk to help him release some energy.
B: That’s great! What’s he doing now?
A: He’s socializing with other dogs near the fountain and seems very excited.
B: I noticed that! He’s really enjoying himself, isn’t he?
